maternity session information
- When should I reserve my session?
-
Your session should be booked early in your second trimester to ensure that we get you on the schedule during the ideal time for photographing that beautiful bump.
- How many weeks should I be for the session?
-
This varies based upon how you're feeling, how you're carrying, and when you'd like the images by. As a rule of thumb, it's best to schedule between 26-34 weeks to ensure that you have popped but before the dreaded end of pregnancy swelling sets in.
- Can I just book a maternity session?
-
Maternity sessions only are offered as an add-on to a newborn collection, meaning both sessions must be booked in order for you to have maternity photos. A $100 deposit is required for your maternity session at booking and a $250 deposit for your newborn session (so $350 total), and the remaining balance is due on the date of each respective session.
- Do you provide hair and makeup?
-
Hair and makeup services are not included in the collections; however, Kristin works with several talented artists in the area that she will happily refer you to.
- How will I know if the gowns fit?
-
Kristin has a vast collection of over 80 couture gowns, silks, and bodysuits to fit every shape, size, and style. Every gown and look that you see on the website and on Kristin's social media accounts, she has. The gowns are meant to be a one size fits all as most can fit a range of size 2-14. However, there are several gowns that are meant to fit beyond those sizes as well.
Body retouching is part of the editing process to ensure that every mom looks and feels her best. Any imperfections in the gowns will be edited to conceal every flaw and highlight that beautiful bump.
- Do you shoot outdoors?
-
At this time, all sessions are taken in Kristin's Sea Girt studio located in Monmouth County, NJ.
- Can I schedule for a weekend?
-
At this time, Kristin only works on weekdays. Maternity sessions can be taken Monday-Thursday in both the day time and evenings. Please note scheduling preferences when inquiring.
- I'm ready to book! What do I do now?
-
If you haven't contacted Kristin yet, please do so here. Kristin will go through all of the logistics with you and send over a digital contract and invoice for a deposit. Once those are complete, your session is officially booked!
